I honestly could never see having the ability to justify spending $999 on a graphics card without a particularly good reason. So, apart from me suddenly coming into possession of a 8K TV, I can’t see going for either the 3090 or the 6900XT.
The 6800XT on the opposite hand, at $649, does seem potentially justifiable. Going full-on ultra with all game settings at 4K looks like a reasonably awesome time. I can definitely see having a 65-inch OLED/QLED TV downstairs within the “game” room for a few hardcore family fun nights.
GTA-6 should be making its thanks to consumers next year which looks to be one among the good upcoming bits of visual percept for the masses, best served in UHD with HDR.
I’m not an enormous fan of war games or dystopian post-apocalyptic worlds with hordes of zombies, but I can certainly get into great cars, cool robots, or sci-fi dogfights.
The 6800XT remains getting to crush anything at 4K. The RX 6800 are going to be quite good also , but may falter a touch at 4K ultra in titles like RDR2.
